Kevin is often sought out for his pipeline construction and equipment views from many different pipeline construction companies. Prior to forming MAXX HDD, Kevin held Senior Level Management positions for a couple of major pipeline construction companies overseeing projects and assets both domestic and international. Beginning as a laborer and working his way through the ranks into corporate management, building on his knowledge, from in-the-field operations, managing construction crews, project management, estimating and asset management. Hutcherson has established himself as a leader in the pipeline construction industry. With over 33 years in the pipeline industry Mr. Vander Wert remained active in all his roles until the forming of Maxx HDD, LLC in January of MOBILE He also served a 2-year term as Board Member of UCTA (Underground Construction Technology Association) and served a 6-year term on the Vermeer Manufacturing Dealer Advisory Board for Trenchless Products. Vander Wert is an active member in several associations including DCA (Distribution Contractors Association), APCA (American Pipeline Contractors Association) HPLA (Houston Pipeliners Association) and PLCA (Pipeline Contractors Association). He took over as East Texas and Louisiana Operations Manager from 2009-2015 and over the span of 6 years the company nearly doubled in annual sales volume and opened several new locations across Texas and Louisiana. Travis moved to Houston to continue his career with Vermeer Equipment of Texas-Louisiana. Vander Wert’s family sold out and retired from the business. Vander Wert took over as Operations Manager in 2007 where he was involved in managing all aspect of the business including acquisitions of expanding product lines and additional dealership locations. His job responsibilities included Sales Management, Fleet Management, purchasing of the companies rolling stock and yellow iron, Logistics, Training and Talent Acquisition. Vander Wert took over as Manager of Sales and Operations for all seven locations in 2004. He worked 4 years as an Outside Sales Representative before joining the Management team.
